2024-26 / ENGINEERING CONCEPT

What if the journey cannot even begin?

This e-rickshaw concept focuses on wheelchair access. The design includes an automated ramp, room for a wheelchair and a way to secure it during the journey.

THE PROJECT, AT A GLANCE

MY CONTRIBUTION
I developed the accessible e-rickshaw concept and a working model with ramp and wheelchair-securing mechanisms, as described in my project records.
WHAT HAPPENED
The design includes ramp access and wheelchair accommodation. Certification and load-capacity tests are still needed.
NEXT TO TEST OR DEVELOP
Test load capacity and boarding with users, then assess the engineering requirements for a full-scale vehicle.

THE FIRST METRECONCEPTUAL DIAGRAM / NOT EXPERIMENTAL DATA
01

Getting aboard.

The accessible e-rickshaw concept describes an automated ramp, wheelchair accommodation and securing mechanisms. It treats entry and exit as central design requirements rather than accessories.

02

About the schematic.

The concept materials explore how a modified vehicle could support more independent travel. The schematic on this page is an interpretation of that proposal, not a fabrication drawing or evidence of a certified vehicle.

03

What needs engineering validation.

My project records describe a working model. Load capacity, vehicle certification and production readiness still need separate engineering tests.

WHAT I TAKE FROM IT

The design starts with getting a wheelchair into the vehicle and securing it safely.

STILL OPEN

What would testing with users change before a full-scale vehicle is built?
